Transparency Pledge: Oyibode To Present Yearly Progress Report In Udu.
By Henry Ubus
Udu, Delta State – In a bid to promote transparency and accountability, Olorogun Vincent Oyibode, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Chairmanship Candidate for Udu Council, has pledged to present an annual SCORE CARD to the people of Udu. This commitment will take effect upon his swearing-in as Udu Council Chairman and will involve an enlarged meeting with community members at the end of each year.
Oyibode’s pledge aligns with the MORE agenda championed by His Excellency, the Governor of Delta State. The MORE agenda stands for Meaningful Development, Opportunity for all, Realistic Reforms, and Enhanced Peace and Security. Oyibode emphasized that these principles will also guide his administration in Udu.
“Every end of the year, after my swearing-in as Udu Council Chairman by His Grace, I will be presenting my SCORE CARD to Udu people in an enlarged meeting,” Oyibode declared. “I am ready to deliver on the MORE agenda of His Excellency, our Governor, which is also my agenda here in Udu.”
Oyibode elaborated on his vision for Udu, highlighting the importance of:
- Meaningful Development: Initiating and completing infrastructure projects that will improve the quality of life for Udu residents.
- Opportunity for All: Creating programs that ensure equal access to economic and educational opportunities, thereby empowering every member of the community.
- Realistic Reforms: Implementing practical and effective reforms that enhance governance and service delivery.
- Enhanced Peace and Security: Strengthening community security measures to ensure a safe environment for all residents.
“This agenda is not just a political promise but a blueprint for tangible progress and sustainable development in Udu,” Oyibode stated.
The annual SCORE CARD presentation will serve as a platform for Oyibode to report on his administration’s achievements, challenges, and future plans. It is designed to foster a culture of accountability and continuous engagement with the community.
“As leaders, it is our duty to remain transparent and accountable to the people we serve. The SCORE CARD will allow the people of Udu to assess our performance and provide feedback,” Oyibode added.
Oyibode’s commitment to the MORE agenda and his promise of annual accountability have been met with positive reactions from community members and political stakeholders, who see it as a step towards inclusive and effective governance in Udu.
As the July 13 council election approaches, Oyibode’s vision for Udu and his dedication to the MORE agenda are expected to resonate with voters seeking meaningful and lasting improvements in their community.
